Dark, disturbing, melancholy and claustrophobic - this novel shows the greatness of Dostoevsky's writing that he can make you feel as if you are trapped inside the lead character - Raskolnikov's world... Show all of fear and paranoia following the heinous crime he commits and the cat and mouse police chase that ensues. I've never read anything like it that has had such an impact on the senses! Magnificent.

The movie did not to the novel justice. Palahniuk, being one of my top favorites, is a mad genius. The film made too many changes that took from the story.

Choke - Chuck Palahniuk
A story, in my opinion, of: hope, preservation, obsession & pure tragedy. Beautifully written; it's easy to understand why it's such a classic.
